Violence against women!!!

15 minutes to midnight and I should by now be sleeping at home. I need to wake up early to catch my 6:05am flight. Instead I’m at Karamunsing Police Station waiting for a friend doing a police report. For what? VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMAN! If only I was there when it happened, I want to give that guy a piece of my mind.

My friend was not the one who was hurt. It’s a friend of my friend. It seems like I’ve been getting into a lot of adventure lately. Anyway, I was around Api-Api when I got a message from a friend, saying her friend was hit by her boyfriend. I quickly called up my friend to get to her location, which was at Jesselton Point. So I quickly rush over there, while informing my brother to standby should things get worst. When I got there, it was already over. The guy who hit the girlfriend was already gone.

This my version of re-enactment, names are changed to protect the innocent. My friend, Karen and two other, Winona and Sher were on their way to KK when Sher’s boyfriend called her up, shouting at Sher, asking where she was. Because she’s very poor at identifying location, she asked Karen & Winona, whom answered Kingfisher! So Karen drove as fast as she could, during that time Sher’s boyfriend called about 5 times. What? He thinks Kingfisher and Jesselton Point is just a walking distance? Then he called Winona, shouting and rudely asked where they are and asking them to send Sher at Jesselton Point.

They reached Jesselton Point at about 7:20pm and left Sher there with her boyfriend. Karen went off to send Winona to the bus station. Not long after that, Sher called them back saying she was slapped by her boyfriend. So they turn back to get Sher, after reaching there Winona stepped out from the car and walk toward that guy scolding. That guy simple shout back “Kau la yang ajar dia ni menipu” (you’re the one who’s been teaching her to lie). WTF!!! When Winona was nearing that guy, he simply kick Winona, hitting her arm and body, something like a flying kick. She fell ON THE ROAD! Luckly she wasn’t hit by a car. Yes ladies and gents, she was kick. My friend Karen saw this and shouted back “Berani kau pukul perempuan ah? Kau tau ka itu salah?” (You dare to hit women? Do you know that’s wrong?) That GUY, after realizing what he has done just fled.

So we went to KK Police Station to make a report. Then we were asked to go to Karamunsing Police Station to talk to a higher ranking officer. The time we spend doing the police report from 8pm till almost 1am was not that frustrating. What makes Winona, Karen and myself frustrated is that Sher WONT MAKE THE DAMN POLICE REPORT!!! Come on man, this is the second time that he has hit Sher. Get that in your thick head! You still want to protect him? He came to the office threatening to break the office door, burn down the office, aren’t you concern with yourself, your family and friends getting hurt? Man! After much persuasion (which led to us being there until midnight) she finally make the police report. THANK GOD!

By the way, the police informed us that if you were hit without using any weapon, they cannot do anything. Only when a weapon was involved, they will straight away arrest the culprit. Also, domestic violence, after court rulling, the offender will get 7 days jail and RM25 fine. That’s sucks man! So, the moral of this story is, go and learn martial arts. Not to fight back, but to defend yourself. Or get a boyfriend/girlfriend who knows martial arts *wink* *wink*.

I’m posting this at KLIA airport, waiting for my flight back to KK at 3pm. I manage to catch my flight after all.

Apa itu? Promosi diri sendirikah? hahahaha

But talking about Sher, it is sooo common. Kasih cinta sayang punya pasal, ini dalam kepala itu perempuan: “aiihh tutup mata sajalah walaupun mau kena bunuh sudah. Kasi maaf sajalah itu lelaki, lain kali dia tidak buat lagi tu.”
