Expectation

So I figure that any of you have used this, or saw somebody used it, configuring or checking stuff. I definitely have used this in many occasions. Because in 1992, I have to settle for this one heck of a machine

Well not this one, but similar to this. The one that I use had 2 floppy disk drive. The 5 ¼ inch ones. Something like this.

It can hold 1.2 MB of data, and can also be used as a fan, also shade under the hot sun. Seriously. Because the operating system at that time was DOS; Disk Operating System, I have no choice to learn all the command line. I self-taught from a book. This is the time when I don’t know squat about computers. Oh, I remember learning Basic programming, as in BASIC language. You’d probably heard of C or C++ or Visual Basic or whatever language there is out there, I learn BASIC. Then in my uni days, Fortran, which by now I’ve forgot how to use it.

Then came Windows 95, and later few newer version, which still have DOS in it. Something like this.

Yeah, same as the first image, except that it’s in a window.

The thing is, when I started using the command line, my friends or colleague sees me as this.

And my parents, uncles and aunties sees me as this.

Coincidentally I do have one or two computer running at the same time. My fiancée (and pass crush) sees me as this.

No, I don’t smoke.

But I would like to think I’m more like this.

But actually, what I really do is this.

Hey, I’m a Civil Engineer, not a Computer Engineer.

Happy Monday everybody 🙂
