The Expendables 2

It is, by my standard, a simple story, and one that everybody knows how it goes. A group of merry men on a mission and come back alive. One of them, new to the group plan to leave for a better life with the love of his life was murdered on their next fairly simple mission, and the rest of the group is on a road of vengeance and manages to get their revenge. Simple and predictable, no? But I still think it’s a really good movie, if you know all your action movies.

First of all, you will never, ever, see Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Jean-Claude Van Damme in one movie. All of them have their very own action movie. Movies like Rambo, Terminator, Die Hard, Universal Soldier. Back before there’s CGI, these movie were awesome.

Then there’s Chuck Norris, with his one man army, lone wolf thing. Before Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme, there’s Chuck Norris. He knows martial arts. He can appear from underwater and shoot enemies from his hip and kill everybody while nobody seems to able to shoot him back. He can aim from his hip. Hence why everybody dies whenever he starts to shoot. He’s so lethal, after five days of excruciating pain from a cobra bite, the cobra dies. That was one of Chuck Norris joke.

Now about Schwarzenegger and Willis. I remember, “I’ll be back” and “Yippee-ki-yay” from both Terminator and Die Hard. Having to watch Willis saying, “I’ll be back” and Schwarzenegger saying, “Yippe-ki-yay” is very amusing.

I wonder if they going to get Steven Seagal in the next movie, if there is a sequel?
